Chitta Ranjan Swain and Narayan Sahu were today re-elected as Odisha Weightlifting Association (OWA) president and secretary respectively for a four-year term. Most of the office-bearers were re-elected unanimously in the Annual General Meeting, held at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack.
Among new faces, Paresh Chandra Mahanta was elected as vice-president and so did Biraja Prasad Das and Jayadev Patra as executive members. K Suryanarayan and Adhip Das attended the AGM as observers of Indian Weightlifting Federation and Odisha Olympic Association respectively.
A decision to organize the State Junior Youth Weightlifting Championship at Berhampur next month was take in the AGM.
